Family record

A family record was a record of crewmember's families.

In 2383, William T. Riker asked USS Enterprise-D's computer to show his family record, visual only. When it brought up a photo of himself and "Jean-Luc Riker", he asked for the family record of Mrs. William T. Riker, but the computer didn't work.

When Will asked Jean-Luc, the boy suggested he add a stardate to the request, which he did. Upon seeing a photo of a woman who looked exactly like Minuet, he realized something was fishy, as Minuet had only been a hologram, not a real person. (TNG: "Future Imperfect")
