FGC-347601 was an inhabited planetary system in the Beta Quadrant. This system was hundreds of light years away from Sol, in the distant reaches of the Milky Way Galaxy. The third planet in the system, Miri, was located in the habitable zone of its system and was the homeworld of a native civilization.

History

In 2266, the USS Enterprise came into this system in response to a distress call from the third planet. The crew of this starship made first contact with the natives and discovered a cure to a plague that had been affecting them for centuries. (TOS: "Miri")

Stellar cartography

In 2259, FGC-347601's location was labeled on a stellar cartography chart that was seen on the USS Enterprise's ready room viewscreen. This system's symbol had a blue color, indicating that it was affiliated with the United Federation of Planets. (SNW: "A Quality of Mercy")

In 2324, the location of this system was labeled in a chart used during a Section 31 Alpha Team briefing. (Star Trek: Section 31)

In 2399, the location of FGC-347601 in the galaxy was labeled in a star chart that was in Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy's office at Starfleet Headquarters. This system was in or near to Federation space. (PIC: "Maps and Legends")

In 2401, this system's position was labeled on a star chart used by Captain William T. Riker during his attempt at finding the last known location of the SS Eleos XII. (PIC: "The Next Generation")

This star system was only mentioned in writing.
The name of this system came from the source material used, the Star Trek: Star Charts and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library, to create the star charts seen in Star Trek: Picard and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
The current location of FGC-347601 in the Beta Quadrant was based on the most recent star charts seen in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Star Trek: Section 31.
