Eye contact

Eye contact was the act of maintaining one's visual focus on a person or object. It often referred to looking into someone else's eyes, usually to communicate with another person.

In 2373, Tuvok suggested that Kathryn Janeway should "maintain eye contact with the tennis ball at the apex of its trajectory", so that her "serve would be more effective". When asked by Janeway if he was a tennis player, he logically stated that it was "simple physics". (VOY: "Future's End")
