Discovery deploys evacuation corridors

Evacuation corridors deployed from USS Discovery to USS Enterprise

Monaveen docking corridor

Corridor used to bridge the Monaveen and the USS Cerritos

Evacuation corridors were a set of long, foldable bridges in the "neck" of Crossfield-class starships that could fold out and dock with another spacecraft. Once sealed with force fields, they allowed for rapid evacuation of the crew.

In 2257, USS Discovery deployed evacuation corridors to transfer its crew to USS Enterprise, after the decision was made to destroy Discovery to prevent its capture by Control. (DIS: "Such Sweet Sorrow")

The Monaveen deployed a torch-lit corridor, which appeared similar in concept, to dock with the USS Cerritos in 2381. (LD: "Where Pleasant Fountains Lie")

In 2384, the USS Protostar deployed a long corridor in order to dock with communications relay outpost CR-721. This corridor appeared to be fully constructed out of sections of force fields, with seemingly no physical components required to support the force fields across quite a long distance. (PRO: "Asylum")
