Egg laying

Egg laying was the process of expelling eggs from a lifeform prior to hatching.

In 2372, upon hearing from Virak'kara that there were no Jem'Hadar females, Jadzia Dax questioned whether they reproduced by laying eggs. (DS9: "To the Death")
