Ed Speleers (born 7 April 1988; age 37) is an English actor who played Jack Crusher in the third season of Star Trek: Picard.

Speleers first role was of Eragon in the film Eragon (2006), but he is best known for his role as Jimmy Kent in the historical drama series Downton Abbey (2012-14) and as Stephen Bonnet in Outlander (2018-2020), created by Ronald D. Moore. He also co-starred in Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands (2016).

He started acting on stage as a teenager and began his screen career at age 17, when he won the starring role in Eragon (2006, with Alan Shearman), beating out 180,000 other applicants. He also played Daniel Edwards, the main character of the Battlefield 1 war story "Through Mud and Blood".

He also had supporting roles in the 2014 BBC historical miniseries Wolf Hall, the 2015 BBC whodunit miniseries Partners in Crime (with Alice Krige), the 2016 fantasy film Alice Through the Looking Glass, and the 2018 arthouse horror The House That Jack Built.
