EXO-6

EXO-6 is a Chinese collectibles company founded by Schubert "Nanjin" Tam that specializes in producing 1/6th scale Star Trek action figures.
Development
Company founder Nanjin had been developing his own realistic 1:6 Star Trek figures as a hobby in the early 2010s when he noticed that no existing companies specializing in the 1/6th market had taken advantage of the Star Trek license. Anticipating demand coinciding with Star Trek's 50th anniversary in 2016, Nanjin became responsible for the production and development of Quantum Mechanix (QMx)'s Master Series of 1:6 articulated Star Trek figures. Nanjin would leave QMx to found his own company in the form of EXO-6 in 2020. EXO-6 successfully secured the exclusive license to produce 1:6 scale Star Trek collectibles based on all series (sans Star Trek: Prodigy) from ViacomCBS, succeeding Nanjin's previous employer as licensee. This uniquely makes EXO-6 a company which was specifically established solely to produce 1:6 scale Star Trek figures.
The figures themselves are comparable to other 1/6th scale collectibles, being clothed in real fabric uniforms and featuring hand-painted head portraits. Magnets are sewn into the uniforms where applicable to allow tricorder and phaser holsters to be attached when desired. They are officially solicited as "museum grade" action figures (and initially referenced as "character replicas"), as opposed to being labeled as "toys" or "dolls." Certain figures are also offered in an "Essential Version," which come at a lower price point with pared down accessories but are otherwise identical to the standard versions.
On 20 April 2025 the company suspended shipments to the US, citing increased tariffs entering effect 2 May 2025. [1]
