Double entity

A double entity was the joining of two individuals' knowledge and senses so that they functioned as one person.

In 2268, Spock proposed becoming a double entity with Kollos to enable the Medusan to help the USS Enterprise navigate. He explained that they would lose their separate identities and that he would require Doctor Miranda Jones' cooperation. (TOS: "Is There in Truth No Beauty?")
