Dorothy A. Steinicke (born 18 August 1954; age 70) is an assistant director who worked on several fourth season episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Steinicke started her career in the late 1980s as assistant director and location manager on the horror film The Last Slumber Party. She then worked as second assistant director on Harlem Nights (1989) and several episodes of Hearts Afire (1992) and as unit production manager and second assistant director on the second season of Caroline in the City, starring Lea Thompson and Amy Pietz. She moved on to first assistant director for the following two seasons.

Further work as assistant director include Emeril (2000), The Fighting Fitzgeralds (2001), Yes, Dear (2002), A.U.S.A. (2003), It's All Relative (2003-04), Listen Up (2004-05, starring Jason Alexander), Freddie (2005-06, starring Mädchen Amick), and How I Met Your Mother (2006-11).
