A dimmer switch was a device that controlled the brightness of a lamp's light.

In 2381, Brad Boimler bluffed AGIMUS by connecting him to the dimmer switch rather than the USS Cerritos' controls, as he had claimed to have done. (LD: "Where Pleasant Fountains Lie")
