Delta Rana star system

Delta Rana star system, also known as the Rana system or Ranian system, was a planetary system which was located somewhere in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant. This Federation system was located not far from the sphere of influence of the now-extinct Husnock species.

In 2366, the Husnock destroyed the Federation colony on Rana IV. The starship USS Enterprise-D later determined that there was only one survivor, Kevin Uxbridge. (TNG: "The Survivors")

In the Bayer designation, which was a system of stellar classification, the Greek letter indicated the brightness of a star in a constellation. In this case, Delta Rana would be the 4th brightest star in its constellation.
