Deep Flight 1
Deep Flight 1
Deep Flight 1 was a submarine used in the 20th century on Earth for oceanic exploration. This vehicle's movements were guided by by short inverted wings placed along either side of the hull. A camera placed above the pilot's chamber was used for filming. (Star Trek: Enterprise, opening credits)
The vehicle's importance to the history of sea exploration was tied to the fact that it was the first submarine to operate on the principles of flight.
