David Hillary Hughes (22 May 1901–5 February 1974; age 72) was an American actor with only four television and movie appearances. He portrayed Trefayne in the Star Trek: The Original Series first season episode "Errand of Mercy".

He filmed his scenes on Monday 30 January 1967 and Tuesday 31 January 1967 at Desilu Stage 9.
