David Getz
David J. Getz is an actor who worked as photo double for "Neelix" actor Ethan Phillips on the Star Trek: Voyager fourth season episode "The Gift". He was cast through Central Casting, filmed this scene during 2nd unit, and received no credit for this appearance.
For twelve years he lived in Los Angeles, California and worked for five years as stand-in for Jack Black and for four years for Jason Alexander. Today, following his move back to Dayton, Ohio, Getz has been working as extras wrangler on set on productions such as the crime drama Gotti (2018).
As an actor, Getz worked on the television thriller The Assassination File (1996, with Dan Butler, Diedrich Bader, Paul Winfield, Tierre Turner, Scott Klace, and Eric Chambers), the action drama Dilemma (1997, with Richard Riehle, Buddy Daniels Friedman, Scott L. Schwartz, and Barry Brandt), the comedy The Wedding Singer (1998, with Ellen Albertini Dow, Christina Pickles, Angela Paton, Al Burke, and Pam Blackwell), the romance Never Been Kissed (1999, with Cress Williams, David Doty, Martha Hackett, and Jennifer S. Parsons), the fantasy comedy Shallow Hal (2001, with Jason Alexander, Bruce McGill, Rob Moran, and Nan Martin), the comedy Old School (2003, with Patrick Fischler, Harve Presnell, Andy Dick, Terry O'Quinn, and Ray Uhler), and three episodes of the comedy series Listen Up (2004-2005, starring Jason Alexander and with Ashley Edner, James Black, Dayna Devon, and Rif Hutton).
Getz also worked on the television romance A Christmas Melody (2015), the thriller I Am Wrath (2016, with Chester E. Tripp III), the thriller Aftermath (2017, with Glenn Morshower and Christopher Darga), and the drama Carol (2015, with Michael Harney).
