David Erskine is the actor who appeared as the Bandi shopkeeper in the Star Trek: The Next Generation first season episode "Encounter at Farpoint".

Other acting work includes an episode of Beauty and the Beast (1987, starring Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman, with Cliff DeYoung, and Jessie Lawrence Ferguson) and Death Warrant (1990, with Patrick Kilpatrick, Abdul Salaam El Razzac, Larry A. Hankin, and Armin Shimerman).

Since 2005, Erskine has worked as producer on several television specials such as the Chabad Telethon (2005-2007) and the Armenia Fund Telethon (2007-2012).
