Darlene Salinas
Darlene Salinas is a film set decoration coordinator who worked on Star Trek.
Salinas began her career in show business as an art department coordinator. Her two earliest credits were projects starring Star Trek: The Next Generation regular Brent Spiner – Out to Sea (1997) and Introducing Dorothy Dandridge (1999). She then coordinated the art department for Magnolia (1999, with Henry Gibson, Pat Healy, Don McManus, Michael Shamus Wiles and Director of Photography Robert Elswit).
As a set decoration coordinator, Salinas worked on Jurassic Park III (2001, with Star Trek: Enterprise regular Linda Park), and Beowulf (2007, with Dominic Keating). She has also worked on two films starring The Rock – The Scorpion King (2002, co-starring Branscombe Richmond and featuring music by John Debney) and Be Cool (2005, with cinematography by Jeffrey L. Kimball).
Star Trek was the second film Salinas worked on that was written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. The first was The Island (2005, with Star Trek: Voyager regular Ethan Phillips, Katy Boyer, Michael Canavan, Tim Halligan, Glenn Morshower, Randy Oglesby, and Noa Tishby). Salinas' other credits as set decoration coordinator include Cast Away (featuring Michael Forest), The Italian Job (2003, featuring Boris Krutonog), and Starsky & Hutch (2004, featuring David Soul and Darlena Tejeiro).
