Danny Pudi (born 10 March 1979; age 46) is an actor who appeared as Fi'Ja in Star Trek Beyond. [1]

Born in Chicago, Illinois, he is best known for his role as wayward college student, pop-culture aficionado and self-avowed Trekkie Abed Nadir on the NBC/Yahoo sitcom Community which aired from 2009-2015, starring alongside Gillian Jacobs and (for one season) Jonathan Banks. In three episodes of Community, Pudi was directed by Justin Lin, who later directed Star Trek Beyond.

Pudi also appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), and was a recurring character on Gilmore Girls. In 2017, he co-starred in Powerless which was cancelled after 12 episodes. Corbin Bernsen was a guest star on the show. He also voiced "Huey" in DuckTales (2017-21).
