Crux Arm

The Crux Arm is a collection of stars, planets, nebulae, and other astronomical objects that forms one of many spiral arms projecting out from the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. The Crux Arm was located in the Beta Quadrant. It was visible from Earth in the constellation Crux and was named after this constellation.

The Crux arm seemed to extend from the center of the Beta Quadrant-Delta Quadrant border, deeper into the Delta Quadrant.

The Crux Arm was shown on Federation star charts in astrometrics aboard the USS Voyager during the later years of its seven-year journey in the Delta Quadrant. (VOY: "Inside Man", et al., display graphic)

In an alternate timeline, the star chart depicting Voyager's flight path home was also displayed in Captain Harry Kim's ready room aboard the USS Rhode Island in 2404. (VOY: "Endgame")

The graphic is shown in legible detail in Geoffrey Mandel's Star Trek: Star Charts (pp. 76-77).
In present-day astronomy, the Crux Arm is known as the Scutum-Crux Arm.
