Craig Robertson
Craig Robertson (born 9 March 1947; age 78) is a singer, musician and songwriter hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, who co-wrote the songs featured in the Star Trek: The Original Series third season episode "The Way to Eden", with actor Charles Napier (Adam) and writer Arthur Heinemann, the latter providing the lyrics.
Robertson was paid $100 for the composition of the music for "Like Hail", and "Hey, Out There!", and for collaborating with Napier on the music for the songs "Headin' Out to Eden" and "Looking for a New Land". At the time, Robertson was the boyfriend of actress Deborah Downey, who played Girl #1 in the episode, and who performed vocals (with Napier) in "Hey, Out There!".
Robertson is an accomplished guitar and ukulele player, who performs his dark, melodic tunes enchanced by his baritone voice, and has played in venues all over the United States. He organized and played at the cabaret-style "Ukulele Noir" for six years. He played guitar for the soundtrack of the 1969 film The Hanging of Jake Ellis, which also featured Napier and Downey in the cast.
