Craig Binkley
Craig Binkley (born 23 August 1946; age 78) worked as property master in the art department of Star Trek: Enterprise. Together with Jim Martin he designed the studio model for the EM pistol seen in Enterprise. C. Binkley, a name on the dedication plaque of Enterprise NX-01, was named after him.
Born as Walter Craig Binkley in Hollywood, California, he started his career as set dresser on the drama Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966, with Harold Michelson and Joseph Musso), Camelot (1967), Wait Until Dark (1967), and Cool Hand Luke (1967). Following work as assistant property master on the family series Lassie (1967) and as leadman on Wild Wild West (1968-69), he worked again as set dresser on Hello, Dolly! (1969) and on Little Big Man (1970).
Binkley was the assistant property master on My Three Sons (1966-72), The Waltons, and Gunsmoke (1971-73). During Gunsmoke's 19th season he became property master (1973-74), following credits as property master on Dirty Sally (1974), The Texas Wheelers (1974-75), Lou Antonio's Lanigan's Rabbi (1976), The Rockford Files (1974-78), Centennial (1978-79), Magnum, P.I., Simon & Simon, St. Elsewhere (1982), and the television drama Confessions of a Married Man (1983).
Further work as property master include The New Leave It to Beaver, Street Hawk (1985), Code Name: Foxfire (1985, starring Joanna Cassidy), Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Alien Nation (1989-90, starring Gary Graham, Eric Pierpoint, Michele Scarabelli and Ron Fassler), Law & Order, The Flash (1990-91), Weird Science, L.A. Law (1991-94, starring Corbin Bernsen and Larry Drake), Pacific Palisades, The Pretender (2000), and FreakyLinks (2001, with Jeff Bellamy and Rod Ripley). Film credits as property master include the comedy Who's Harry Crumb? (1989), Heartbeat (1993), Alien Nation: Body and Soul (1995), Alien Nation: Millennium (1996), The Cutter (2005), Lonely Hearts (2006), and Home of the Brave (2006).
He also worked as key amourer on Give 'Em Hell, Malone (2009), Lies & Illusions (2009), Wrong Turn at Tahoe (2009), and The Big Bang (2010).
