Resembling a crown, Corona Australis was a summer constellation visible from Earth's northern hemisphere. Stars in this constellation were located in the Alpha Quadrant and Beta Quadrant. (PIC: "Disengage")

In 2293, the location of this constellation was labeled in a star chart found on the navigation console of the USS Enterprise-B. (Star Trek Generations)

The name of this constellation was derived from Gamma Coronae Australis' Bayer designation. In Bayer designation, the name begins with a Greek letter followed by a genitive of the constellation's name.
