Control booth

A control booth was a small enclosure from which one controlled the activities taking place in a larger room, such as a shuttlebay or holodeck.

In 2366, Worf ordered John Doe to leave the control box of USS Enterprise-D's shuttlebay. (TNG: "Transfigurations")

In 2371, "Reginald Barclay" explained his apparent presence in a holodeck by saying he was actually in a control booth outside the room, and what "Doctor Lewis Zimmerman" saw was a holographic projection of his body. (VOY: "Projections")
