Command level authorization

A command level authorization or command level override was a high-level security clearance needed to operate certain functions on a starship, usually reserved for those with the rank of captains or higher. A command authorization code was generally used in order to access these functions.

On the USS Protostar, the ship's gravimetric protostar containment were considered high-priority systems and required command level authorization to access. (PRO: "Terror Firma")
