Combat readiness

Combat readiness was a military's capacity to engage in combat and fulfill assigned missions and tasks.

In 2364, William T. Riker noted in USS Enterprise-D's ship's log that the crew had been informed of the challenge to Lt. Tasha Yar, and they were maintaining combat readiness round the clock. (TNG: "Code of Honor")
