Clark E. Spangler (5 September 1933–5 January 2001; age 67) was an organist who worked for Desilu doing work for television programs including Star Trek: The Original Series, Mannix, Mission: Impossible, and Here's Lucy (starring Lucille Ball); later, during the 1980s, he taught music at UC Irvine. Among his contributions to The Original Series was his appearance on the songs "Headin' Out to Eden", "Looking for a New Land", and "Hey, Out There!", all of which appeared in the third season episode "The Way to Eden". (Star Trek: The Original Series Soundtrack Collection liner notes)
