Christopher Bergschneider
Christopher Bergschneider (born 13 August 1961; age 63) is a special effects makeup artist and prop fabricant who created the Kurlan naiskos prop for the Star Trek: The Next Generation sixth season episode "The Chase". The prop later also appeared in the seventh season episodes "Genesis", "Bloodlines", and "Preemptive Strike" and in Star Trek Generations. Bergschneider later worked as mold maker on J.J. Abrams' Star Trek as part of the Proteus Make-up FX Team.
Bergschneider started to work in the entertainment industry in the late 1980s and was throughout the years employed by companies such as S.M.G. Inc., Kevin Yagher Productions, Inc., Obscure Artifacts, and Stan Winston Studios. He worked as special and make-up effects artist and puppeteer on projects such as Society (1989), Skeeter (1993) Cyber-Tracker 2 (1995), Demon Knight (1995), Head of the Family (1996), the horror film Vampire Journals (1997), Virus (1999, starring Jamie Lee Curtis), Blood Dolls (1999), Retro Puppet Master (1999, with Russ Herpich) and Puppet Master: The Legacy (2003), A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001, starring Haley Joel Osment and Jude Law), The Time Machine (2002), the television series Full Moon Fright Night (2002, starring William Shatner), Ring of Darkness (2004), and the horror thriller Dr. Rage (2005).
Beside his work on effects and creatures, Bergschneider himself appeared as an actor, creature performer and puppeteer in several productions including Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom (1996, with Malcolm McDowell, John Rhys-Davies, and Robert Rusler), Virus (1999), William Shatner's Spplat Attack (2002), and the horror film Petrified (2006).
He later worked on the drama The Brute Killer (2012) and the horror film Zombies vs. Strippers (2012).
