Charlie Carden is a Michigan-based podcaster and cofounder of the Secret Friends Unite! podcast network, which he started with his college roommate in 2014. As of 2025, the network includes four shows, three of which he appears on.

Carden grew up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan and watched Star Trek as a teenager. While attending college in 1995, he became good friends with his roommate, Todd Oxtra. Nineteen years later, the two started Secret Friends Unite!, a pop culture-based podcast. They have added other podcasts to the network since then, including Code 47, a Star Trek podcast.

Carden currently lives in East Grand Rapids, Michigan with his wife, April, their dog, Albus, and three cats. [1]

In 2025, Carden stood in for Norman Lao to cohost the Mission Log: A Roddenberry Star Trek Podcast episode "Fury (ML)" with John Champion.
