Charles Sowles is a special effects artist and costumer who worked on the costume props on Star Trek.

Sowles worked as fabricator/ special effects costumer on The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), 300 (2006), Iron Man (2008), and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008).

He also lent his skills to Watchmen (2009), G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009, with Rachel Nichols), and Avatar starring Zoe Saldana).
