Chaos theory

Chaos theory was a mathematical theory that attempted to describe the underlying order in seemingly random events or data.

In 2151, Crewman Daniels joked that he thought his bunkmate majored in chaos theory, due to the mess he left in their quarters. (ENT: "Cold Front")

The working title for the Star Trek: Short Treks episode "Q&A" was "Chaos Theory".
