A centrifuge was a piece of technology which separated different materials by spinning at high speeds.

In 2371, B'Elanna Torres used a centrifuge in engineering to separate matter from a stellar phenomenon that the USS Voyager went through. (VOY: "The Cloud")

The call sheet listed "equipment to spin containers" in the props section.
A Klingon centrifuge from ENT: "Divergence" was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [1](X)
