Cellular homeostasis algorithm

The cellular homeostasis algorithm was an algorithm created collaboratively by Soji Asha, Altan Soong, and Agnes Jurati in 2399. This algorithm was part of the programming of the golem Jean-Luc Picard. It was designed to give Picard mortality, giving him the same number of years he would have had if his organic self did not have the brain abnormality which ultimately led to the death of the latter.
