Captivity

Captivity, also known as imprisonment or confinement, was the state of an animal or individual being confined to a place and being unable to leave or move freely.

Humans had an unique hatred of captivity. They would prefer death over captivity, even if it were pleasant and benevolent. (TOS: "The Cage")

Capellan power-cats hated captivity, so much so that except for Kukulkan, no one had ever been able to keep one alive. (TAS: "How Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth")
