Cabo Rojo

Cabo Rojo was a location on Earth.

At the age of 16, Hugh Culber was hiking along the cliffs when the path he was walking on gave way, causing him to fall fifteen meters and puncturing his shoulder in the process. A doctor named Kashkooli rescued him, stitching Culber's puncture wound closed with fishing line, and giving him what Culber's husband Paul Stamets later described as a "very sexy scar." There are several locations on Earth named Cabo Rojo. Wilson Cruz indicated on his Facebook page that his character was referring to Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. [1]
