Butterscotch was a type of hard candy found on Earth.

Chief Petty Officer Carlton Dennis was quite fond of butterscotch. In 2381, he offered some to the lower deckers of the USS Cerritos when they visited him in the Transporter Facility on Earth. (LD: "Grounded")
