Brown-nosing

Brown-nosing was a term that described ingratiating oneself with another in a demeaning or embarrassing manner.

In 2380, Beckett Mariner described Brad Boimler's holoprogram "Boimler Seven", in which he practiced interacting with Captain Carol Freeman, as a "brown-nosing" program. (LD: "Crisis Point")

In 2382 of an alternate universe, Mariner's alternate self sent her version of Taylor to the brig for brown-nosing after he apologized for arguing with his other self. (LD: "Dos Cerritos")
