Brenda Kalosh
Brenda Kalosh (born 6 May 1952; age 73) is an assistant director who worked on the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Prior to her work on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Kalosh worked as DGA Trainee on Finder of Lost Loves (1984) and Simon & Simon (1984, with Mary Carver), Invaders from Mars (1986, with Louise Fletcher, Eric Pierpoint, and second unit director John Dykstra), and Legal Eagles (1986). She then worked as second second assistant director on The Morning After (1986), Hill Street Blues (1986-87) and Beverly Hills Buntz (1987-88), Critters 2: The Main Course (1988, with Scott Grimes), and Steel Magnolias (1989, with Bibi Besch).
Credits as second assistant director include Mississippi Burning (1988, with Brad Dourif), the television series Columbo (1989) and Christine Cromwell (1989-90), The Great Los Angeles Earthquake (1990, with Brock Peters, Richard Herd, and Ed Begley, Jr.), The Boys (1991), Paris Trout (1991) for which she won a Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Specials with director Stephen Gyllenhaal, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (1992, with Matt McCoy), Man of the People (1991-92, starring Kate Mulgrew), the television thriller Exclusive (1992), and The Favor (1994).
Kalosh moved up and worked as first assistant director on Moment of Truth: Why My Daughter? (1993), Campus Cops (1995-96, starring J.D. Cullum and Monte Markham) and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (1993-95, starring Joe Lando and Chad Allen), A Kiss So Deadly (1996), and several episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2000), The Michael Richards Show (2000-01), Angel (2001-02), Firefly (2002), Andy Richter Controls the Universe (2002-03), Girlfriends (2002-08, starring Golden Brooks), Lincoln Heights (2008-09), Dollhouse (2009-10), Huge (2010), and The Nine Lives of Chloe King (2011).
