Brandon Fayette
Brandon Fayette (born 20 March 1982; age 43) is the CG Supervisor and Production Lead at Kelvin Optical, Inc. (the digital visual effects (VFX) subsidiary of J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions), having worked as such on Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Trek Beyond.
He had already been Paramount Pictures's CG Lead on Star Trek previously. He also served as associate producer on the video game Star Trek D-A-C.
Career
Fayette hails from New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and also studied at Gnomon School Of Visual Effects in Los Angeles, California. Before joining Bad Robot, he was a previsualization artist on the 2007 film Evan Almighty, which, like Star Trek, featured Jimmy Bennett.
At Bad Robot Optical, Inc. (the predecessor of Kelvin Optical) he served as VFX Consultant on the 2008 film Cloverfield. In addition to Cloverfield and Star Trek, Fayette was slated to work on a number of upcoming projects being developed by J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot Productions, but took a leave of absence to work on Seth MacFarlane's 'The Orville as VFX Concept Artist/Supervisor instead, a position he held till 2022.
