Blowing

Blowing was the act of expelling one's breath forcefully through the mouth or nose.

Scuba divers cleared their masks of water by blowing out through their noses. (ENT: "Shuttlepod One")

Birthday candles were extinguished by blowing on the flame, after which one was supposed to make a wish. (VOY: "Twisted", "Before and After", "Fury")
