Ensign Bloom was a character mentioned in a the scene of the script for the Star Trek: The Next Generation fifth season episode "The Game", but removed from the final episode. In the scene, this character was located at the conn while Picard coordinated from the bridge with Riker during their attempt to catch Wesley. [1]
