Black Lives Matter or BLM was an American political group that mainly protested police brutality against black people.

They played a prominent role in the years leading up to or during the Second Civil War of the 21st century.

In 2259, Captain Christopher Pike showed the Kiley video footage of the Second Civil War and BLM's involvement, in an attempt to discourage them from using their warp bomb, and instead find a way to make peace. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds")
