The Bitrus Expanse was a region of space.

In 2381, the USS Cerritos headed for the Bitrus Expanse after completing its second contact mission at Apergos. (LD: "Strange Energies")

Later that year, Petra Aberdeen and Beckett Mariner took the Free Spirit through the Bitrus Expanse on their way to Qualor III. They took the opportunity to excavate some hidden temples within. (LD: "The Stars At Night")
