A biological sample kit was a containment carrying case made for the transport of biological specimen.

The Starfleet biological sample kit was provided by the Starfleet Medical Surgeon General under General Order 315. It contained a stasis field, a sterile lock, and an application on the side referred to Starfleet biological sample protocol 7751-7.

Doctor Julian Bashir took a biological sample kit with him when he beamed down to the Teplan homeworld in 2372 in order to find a cure for the Teplan blight. (DS9: "The Quickening")
