Bill of sale

A bill of sale was a document that showed ownership of an item had been transferred to the person now claiming to own it.

In 2369, Quark told Miradorn traders Ro-Kel and Ah-Kel that if they had a bill of sale, he might be able to arrange the purchase of an object they were selling, which was similar to one stolen off a Vanoben transport. Ro-Kel protested that Quark hadn't asked for a bill of sale when originally contacted. (DS9: "Vortex")
