Background information
"STRUM-gren" was the pronunciation for the system's name from the script pronunciation guide. [1]
The placement of this system in the Beta Quadrant can be inferred from its closeness to Starbase 152, which was located in this quadrant by a star chart seen in the Star Trek: Discovery episode "An Obol for Charon".
Both the Star Trek: Star Charts ("United Federation of Planets II") and StarTrek.com located the Beta Stromgren system in the Beta Quadrant. [2](X)
In the Bayer designation, which was a system of stellar classification, the Greek letter indicated the brightness of a star in a constellation. In this case, Beta Stromgren would be the 2nd brightest star in its constellation.
