Beta Cygni system
The Beta Cygni system was a quaternary star system in the Alpha Quadrant. This system was organized into a trinary star system and a solitary star. The names of the stars were Albireo (the official name for Beta Cygni Aa), Beta Cygni Ac, Beta Cygni Ad, and Beta Cygni B. This system was visible from Earth in the constellation Cygnus and it was approximately 364.8 light years from Sol.
In 2369, according to a starship mission status chart seen in the observation lounge of the USS Enterprise-D, the USS Fearless was assigned a planetary mapping mission in this system. (TNG: "Chain Of Command, Part I", display graphic)
The assignment of the Fearless was not mentioned on screen but rather was seen on a viewscreen chart on an observation lounge computer station.
Information on this system was derived from the episodes and real-world sources. The real-world information added to the article was current as of 2025.
The placement of this system in the Alpha Quadrant is inferred from the location of astronomical objects associated with this constellation Cygnus.
