Balsamic vinaigrette

A balsamic vinaigrette was a type of salad dressing.

In 2375, upon noticing that the Evora guests were eating the floral arrangements on the banquet table, Jean-Luc Picard suggested they "Better have the chef whip up a light balsamic vinaigrette… something that goes well with chrysanthemums." (Star Trek: Insurrection)
