Auxiliary hatch

An auxiliary hatch was a sort of emergency hatch, used when the main hatch was not accessible.

In August 2151, an away team from Enterprise NX-01 used an auxiliary hatch to board the Earth Cargo Service freighter ECS Fortunate as the main hatch was damaged. The auxiliary hatch was located on the port side of the starship. (ENT: "Fortunate Son")
