Auricular lobe
The auricular lobe was lower part of the outer earlobe.
When Quark feigned injury after attacking T'Lar, Doctor Julian Bashir's initial analysis was that "the damage appears to be fairly superficial." When Quark non-verbally indicated that that was not the case, so Bashir improvised further that "Ferengi ears are incredibly sensitive. I'd better run some further tests."
As Quark continued to wail in pain, his other Klingon captor, Yeto, became irritated, leading Bashir to explain that "it's not his fault. He's got a deep contusion of the auricular lobe and a possible dislocated malleus. In a Ferengi, either condition can be fatal." (DS9: "Invasive Procedures")
