Background information
This star system was only mentioned in writing.
The location of this star system was seen on the bridge of the SS Eleos XII on what appears to be an updated chart from Star Trek: Star Charts. Dave Blass published pictures of the set on his website.
The primary of the Argus system was classified as an M-class star by the Star Trek: Star Charts ("United Federation of Planets I") and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385").
In dialog cut from Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, one of the memory test questions for Spock would have asked him to state what legal precedent originated from a peace pact between Argus and Rigel IV. This Argus might be a reference to this system or a planet in this system.
The name of the system's primary came from StarTrek.com. [1](X)
The label for Argus in the Star Trek: Picard star chart was colored orange. In the chart key from Star Trek: Star Charts, this color was associated with a historic battle.
