Areal bone mineral density

The areal bone mineral density, or aBMD, was the amount of bone mineral in bone tissue per unit area. It was measured in grams per square centimeters (g/cm2).

In 3189, an atomic scan performed on Philippa Georgiou's musculoskeletal system revealed she had an aBMD of 1.01 g/cm2 in her spine and an aBMD of .99 g/cm2 in her whole body. (DIS: "The Sanctuary")
